It’s true good things do come in small packages. With one purchase you can get a sample of 8 artists work.
The Etsy Glass Artists (EGA) have put together a selection of sample sets for our summer promotion, a celebration of all things glass. Each collection will include 8 pieces. By one of 12 artists. The collections are composed of jewelry, gifts and designing components. Priced well below their value, it is a wonderful way to try out a variety of glass pieces. Shipping is included in the price of the EGA Collection and each participating artist has a different collection so be sure to check them all out.
The members participating are as follows:
To see all of the collections available search for “egacollection” or “egacollections”
EGA would like to thank Susan Sheehan for all her hard work putting the glass collections together and organizing this project.

Christmas has a host of memories.
My mom loves Christmas, She is really into baking cookies, her tree is spectacular, full of antique ornaments. Christmas Music is full blast and then Christmas Eve we have a party with the greatest food- Crab Rangoon! I make really good crab Rangoon LOL also scallops with bacon Yum. Dips Oh yes dips. You just would not believe it. So that is the tradition but the memories are what I come for. I don’t remember what the food taste like I just remember my mom and I spending time making a huge mess in the kitchen and giggling all day long. It is not about the tree or gifts but that sets the tone I am sure. I can’t look at Christmas tree without thinking of my mom really.
Now the most important Christmas I have ever had was the first Christmas without my real father I was 8 yrs old. My mom maintained the Santa Claus illusion, this was important because all other great illusions had been destroyed and how she did it I have no idea. She did not have enough money to give us the Christmas she gave. She did not have the time, energy nor even happiness that it takes for even 2 parents to pull off that Christmas but somehow she did. We woke up that cold yet magical morning in our tiny appartment and were never the wiser. I remember I got something Barbie related, notice I don’t remember what I got I just remember I felt like there was an abundance and she made it so special we almost forgot our dad should have been there. That is what it is about creating little pockets of unforgettable time we call them memories. Thanks MOM for making my unforgettable time pockets HUGE -Only hope I do the same for my own kids!

Remember the friendship pendants? They were a 2 piece pendant you would give one half and keep the other.
Oh man! when I was about 12 yrs old I wanted one of those pendants so bad. Only thing was everyone had one and the halves were not quite unique to each other and you could have the half to the pendant that matched up with just anyone, that always bothered me LOL I never got one or got to give one of thoes pendants. Oh the scars of childhood-hahaha!
So here they are unique to each half friendship pendants 🙂 they are different but you can tell they are made from the same batch kinda like real friends are. They also have lots of color and have a very artful thing going on. I thought of selling them as a set but my luck no one would want both halves. Besides they are good to give as a single item. So I guess if ya want both halves ya better hurry LOL they are in my etsy shop as of this Monday morning. http://shoozles.etsy.com
Love ya C 🙂

Okay, Last week I worked on Tween gifts-back to the drawing board is where I went. My boys told me last weeks entry-mom those are alright but not quite there, just a little too old. We talked about it and brain stormed. Did I mention they are popular LOL something I was not, I was shy and very quiet so knowing what was popular was not my thing and if I did know I was not going to say a word for fear of being wrong. A lot has changed thank goodness now I don’t care if I am wrong it only hurts not to try.
Okay back to the tween gift pendant. I went smaller and less expensive because we know how they can lose stuff and when they lose expensive things it is upsetting so I was thinking of the moms too 🙂 I also thought the traditional bails look too old for our 11- 16 crowd so I did a wire loop combo with a sweet little bead accent. I also thought traditional dichro and millifiories were over done and really don’t fill the bill. Paint is what I settled on. I think I did okay I had a sale this weekend and today and sold 4 of them and the first thing the moms said was “Oh my daughter will love this.” I had to ask the ages and yes it was our beloved TWEENS.
Another idea came to me as I looked at the boys, it occurred to me they all may have to wear those boring lanyards so I designed these fun little lanyard additions for kids to collect, affordable and cute. The boys have informed me there must be some boy Tacs soon So in the kiln today little fun tacs for boys. Can’t wait for them to see what I did.
I am sure I am not finished with the ideas and will always be thinking of new ideas for the pre-teens to teen group my boys will not let me get too far off track I hope.
See my Etsy shop for these fun Tween gifts! http://shoozles.etsy.com

My boys informed me I must make gifts for some “girl” “friends” UT-Oh I am in trouble This is the beginning of Tweenhood here in my house. Triple Trouble Tweens? I am gasping for air right now! So I said well… the girls can wear what I make right? The boys looked at me like yea BUT- that means it may need to be a bit more hip. So I revised the Charm pendants to Hip them up a bit, make them good for the tween and teen crowd. We will see if I have passed the test soon enough.
I have things for MOMs, and I have tiny pendants for the little girls so lets hope the teen scene is going to be my next thing. I may need to bring in a panel of experts. HUMMM? I may need to do a focus group LOL I think I can find a few pre-teens to test for me 🙂
I think Size may be the key and oh the Jingle factor LOL the pendant measures 38mm now that is with the loop flow and glass piece so not too big. get the details here at my shop

It has been a few weeks since my last entry I have been a little under the weather and needed a break from something and Blogging was just about the only thing I could cut LOL.
The Holiday shopping is in full Swing or it should be by now, that has been my past experience any way. I just knew I need to make some Seasonal stuff. I traditionally do a snowman pendant and do the three colors of Christmas oh and toss in some snow flakes. After 8 years of fusing and 18 years or more of jewelry making the only surprise is I actually get a new idea LOL
My painting skills are limited but I have to say have come a long way since last year. So I have done some teeny tiny Christmas charms. They are hand painted, fused, grooved and wire wrapped.
I am actually looking forward to this next craft show One Saturday and Sunday, It is one I have done for 6 years and it huge, I have a ton of stuff. Wish me luck!
Come see what else I have in my shoozles shop
