Etsy

I just got my 4 color business cards in the mail from overnight prints. I have never had “real business cards” printed for my business. For years I ran my little printer in to the ground printing my business cards and then cutting them. Oh the time I wasted! You can’t image how excited I am to have these. I struggled with the design. Ya I know the design is not that big a deal- big whoop right? There ia no great designing here, I just let me face and art speak for it’s self. I did several designs with and without my photo. My family told me I should have my photo on it. I am camera shy and not a fan of my own image. But the consensus was “who wouldn’t buy from that face” LOL My most logical son said “mom I like knowing who I am buying from” “it’s good to see a face with the art”. So I am stuck with these until I can get rid of 1000 cards.

Let me know what you think.

I am giddy with the thought of handing out business cards!

Thanks Overnight Prints!

HAVE FUN AND SHOP TILL YOU DROP!!!

I got an interesting inquiry this week that will change the way I “List” on Etsy.

A buyer on Etsy that shops quite often by category asked why people put older items up over and over(it’s called relisting, I call it chronic relisting). They said it is very confusing to the Buyer/shopper to go out and see the same items that were there last week or just yesterday. They also said at first they thought maybe nothing new had been added to the list since it was the same things they saw yesterday. They almost didn’t bother to go further. People tend to get board with seeing the same items over and over.

I did explain the relisting process and why some people do it. But just as a warning to Sellers, you may be driving potential customers away by listing the same items over and over. Confusion and stale look to a site can kill the customer base.

Keep it fresh try to mix it up a bit add new things as often as possible. I know we get busy and replenishing stock can be hard at times not to mention taking photos and everything else it takes to list an item but it will be worth your effort to list new items and limit relisting.

Think of customers first!

Remember the friendship pendants? They were a 2 piece pendant you would give one half and keep the other.friendship4.jpg

Oh man! when I was about 12 yrs old I wanted one of those pendants so bad. Only thing was everyone had one and the halves were not quite unique to each other and you could have the half to the pendant that matched up with just anyone, that always bothered me LOL I never got one or got to give one of thoes pendants. Oh the scars of childhood-hahaha!

So here they are unique to each half friendship pendants 🙂 they are different but you can tell they are made from the same batch kinda like real friends are. They also have lots of color and have a very artful thing going on. I thought of selling them as a set but my luck no one would want both halves. Besides they are good to give as a single item. So I guess if ya want both halves ya better hurry LOL they are in my etsy shop as of this Monday morning. http://shoozles.etsy.com

Love ya C 🙂

winterplumflower2.jpgMy boys informed me I must make gifts for some “girl” “friends” UT-Oh I am in trouble This is the beginning of Tweenhood here in my house. Triple Trouble Tweens? I am gasping for air right now! So I said well… the girls can wear what I make right? The boys looked at me like yea BUT- that means it may need to be a bit more hip. So I revised the Charm pendants to Hip them up a bit, make them good for the tween and teen crowd. We will see if I have passed the test soon enough.

I have things for MOMs, and I have tiny pendants for the little girls so lets hope the teen scene is going to be my next thing. I may need to bring in a panel of experts. HUMMM? I may need to do a focus group LOL I think I can find a few pre-teens to test for me 🙂

I think Size may be the key and oh the Jingle factor LOL the pendant measures 38mm now that is with the loop flow and glass piece so not too big. get the details here at my shop

It has been a few weeks since my last entry I have been a little under the weather and needed a break from something and Blogging was justchristmascharms.jpg about the only thing I could cut LOL.

The Holiday shopping is in full Swing or it should be by now, that has been my past experience any way. I just knew I need to make some Seasonal stuff. I traditionally do a snowman pendant and do the three colors of Christmas oh and toss in some snow flakes. After 8 years of fusing and 18 years or more of jewelry making the only surprise is I actually get a new idea LOL

My painting skills are limited but I have to say have come a long way since last year. So I have done some teeny tiny Christmas charms. They are hand painted, fused, grooved and wire wrapped.

I am actually looking forward to this next craft show One Saturday and Sunday, It is one I have done for 6 years and it huge, I have a ton of stuff. Wish me luck!

Come see what else I have in my shoozles shop
